Anil Nandkumar is an Advanced Clinician and board certified physical therapist at HSS. Anil has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic and sports clinical cases including surgical cases, non-surgical cases, and patients coming in as direct access (without a physician referral). Further, Anil has a special interest in working with tennis players and weight lifters due to his many years of experience with playing competitive tennis and various certifications in weight training. He also covers many of the New York Road Runners and TCS Marathon events throughout the year. Anil enjoys working with patients of all ages and he treats a broad spectrum of body regions, and diagnoses.
Dr. Jesse Charnoff is an Attending Physiatrist at HSS specializing in the care of acute and chronic musculoskeletal sports and spine conditions. He treats patients with spine (neck, mid back, low back, and buttock) pain as well as musculoskeletal issues (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle/foot). He is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and a Team Physician for the Long Island Nets. He is a board certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and completed a subspecialty fellowship in Spine and Sports Medicine at HSS. As an avid tennis player, Dr. Charnoff has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of tennis injuries.
Dr. Charnoff's goal is to help his patients return to, and optimally perform at, their chosen activities while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Each patient is given a personalized plan and an exercise prescription, after a thorough evaluation. When procedures are indicated, he is skilled in fluoroscopicguided injections of the spine and peripheral joints, as well as ultrasound-guided injections for joint, tendon and muscle pathology, including platelet-rich plasma and hyaluronic acid.
Dr. Charnoff's research interests include regenerative medicine techniques and cost, injury prevention in athletes, novel spinal injection techniques and medical education.
