Description The session will review the background, development, and implementation of the clinical practice guidelines created in collaboration with the Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network and the Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute. The three clinical practice guidelines developed for shoulder, soft tissue knee, and low back pain will be referenced. _____________________________________________________ At the end of this session, participants will be able to: Understand the purpose of clinical practice guidelines for musculoskeletal care Review the methodology used for clinical practice guideline creation Recognize the potential pitfalls to implementation using the Alberta experience Discuss the next steps for musculoskeletal clinical pathways in Alberta
